Therapeutic Massage

Therapeutic Massage

The ideal relaxing, pampering, nurturing choice to combat both physical and emotional stress & tension.

The aim of therapeutic massage is the restoration of function, the re-establishment of the contours of the body and the release of tensions that have built up within the system. It being a stress relieving and extremely relaxing massage, it diffuses fatigue, restores flexibility to the muscle tissue and relieves pain producing symptoms. Therapeutic massage is a scientific manipulation of the soft tissues for a therapeutic purpose. The techniques used stimulate the body’s natural recoup powers and remove fatigue by causing the diffusion of lactic acid and carbon dioxide that accumulates among the tissues, that which causes muscular stiffness and stagnation of the blood.

Hot Stone Massage

During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat.
